Pillowcases4Love

Hello my friends, Mathew and I have had a very productive couple of months!! We have made over two hundred pillowcases. We've got fire engines and cranes, pups and pandas, rockets and spaceships, and gardens galore (see pics below). We are getting ready to deliver these to several venues including Gerard's House, Christus Pediatric Unit, Consuelo's Place, and more. That's a whole-lotta love. 

At times it can seem like a pillowcase with a "you are loved" reminder is a small gesture in these very difficult times. But for the person who receives it, they know they are not alone, that they are cherished, and that someone is wishing them heart-felt goodness. Isn't this something we all want? And here we are, with you our wonderful donors, dishing it up and filling the love-baskets of those in need...one pillowcase / one child at a time.

We received some lovely (permission to share) photos of some of the children from Gerard's House who participated in their December grieving program. These children selected one of our pillowcases and then memorialized it with their loved one's name who had died. Seventy-five children participated in the program. We wanted to share a photo of three of them who are having a lot of fun! We are in the process of creating another 75 pillowcases for their April grieving program. The  photos show some of the pillowcases already made that we will include in that delivery. We have fun space creatures, happy pups, ocean-going kitties, Girl Power, camping fox, and party balloons - all with the message that "you are loved!." Thank you for making a difference in these children's lives. 

I love seeing their smiles!
